AWS operates the Weatherbug, a service that provides real time weather updates to your desktop. They also operate a national weather data collection system that largely depends upon school kids to gather data. This project offers a chance to integrate technology into the learning experience.
AWS also offers a means of assessing the inventory of technology skills, equipment and software in K12 via a program called OnTarget.
I came across this company via a WSJ article on April 29 that discussed the fact that AWS was raising com $23 million in venture capital.
