You shouldn't share music! No, I don't mean in the sense of copying MP3 files around to all and sundry - that's obvious. It's bad. Don't do it. Bad reader - no cookie.
No, I mean in your own home. Protect your music library. Don't allow anyone near it. Microsoft put all those file and directory based security permissions into Windows 2000 and WIndows XP for no other reason than to help you protect your music library from all the other people in your house. If you let anyone else near your music library with write access you are just asking for disaster. I know. I've been there! Here I am, sitting at my desk on a wonderfully crisp, bright, autumn (that's 'Fall' for all you foreigners) morning banging out words on my chapters, Metallica loud and proud in my headphones., then what happens? The next track gets cued up in WinAmp and before you know it you're listening to some dull University professor telling you how to write an essay from your wife's home study uni course! ARGGGHH. Total loss of thought ensues and you end up getting distracted enough to stop writing your chapter and blog about it.
DON'T SHARE MUSIC!!! ;)
