Well, after a particularly shitty email from someone who wants to remain nameless, I thought I'd read my blog logs before going to bed. Of particular note were 2 items. First up Caustic Phil you hero. Thanks for the warm wishes on the new company dude and for sending my blog hits today through the roof (ooooo lots more readers today - who can I name and shame....let me think - no better not). CausticPhils blog rocks by the way - wish I had his balls.

Second, this one had me in stitches. Someone came here from a google search for Xbox and Avalaugh. Apparently I'm the only hit they got. Yay me.

Bed time.

The new years honours list was published a couple of days ago, listing those British Citizens to get royal letters after their names and those to get the letters SIR in front of their names. For the first time ever a games developer has been recognised and Peter Molyneux is soon to be known as Sir Peter Molyneux. Fantastic. He's done a lot for the industry globally, and for the UK games industry and deserves it. Congrats Peter.

Update: My bad . Peter is to be awarded an OBE, not a Knighthood. So, he's Dr. Peter Douglas Molyneux, O.B.E. Well done sir.

It's easy to look at TV news footage of the aftereffects of the disaster in South East Asia and not fully appreciate what it all means. This puts it into perspective. The link takes you to before and after satellite imagery of the worse affected areas - quite breathtaking. Take a look at the shot of the Tsunami's receding waves as well for a very graphic view of just how powerful those waves really were.
