A Sign of Things to Come
I have been like a whirling dervish on speed today. I dusted, vacuumed and washed the floors, cleaned the bathrooms, cleaned out kitchen cupboards, made some chicken stock and pizza dough (the dough is still rising - dinner is late tonight), baked butter tarts and strawberry tarts, did some dishes, taught two piano lessons, found a bit of time at the piano myself, went to a fitness class at the gym, bought a dress for me to wear to Iris' graduation (at my favour place to shop - the second hand store), went for coffee with Joe, read the paper and had a bubble bath!
Now how, do you ask, did I have time to do all that? It's because I have not had to drive one child to one activity all day. I can't recall the last time that happened.
My goodness! Think how much time I'll have on my hands once the kids leave home!
