Wilson Ng started helping the family business since 9 years old. Since then, he had dreamt to be a successful entrepreneur, one who starts great businesses  ( he has started 7) from scratch with insight, guts and initiative. He keeps his focus on growing the business by creating value-- not on politics, or wasteful distractions. He brings the same focus to community service, teaching, life and family.

Designing Security into your Network   (techdrivenlife)   (selected articles in bizdrivenlife compiled)

I just came back from attending a Cisco conference, one of the prime topics of which was network security, which is a cause for alarm these days.  In fact, most MIS people view continuity of business, and disruptions as their number 1 concern, and data privacy and protection as the third most important concern ( the second was cutting of costs).  Among the slides that most impressed me was a saying that network security must evolve as something from what you add into something that has to be designed into network infrastructure, something they are doing now for their routers and switches.

Which makes sense.

In the world of business and living, the same thing applies.  After all, unless it happens by design, we cannot wait for patchwork or accident to do us good, don't you think?

But I think nothing would illustrate it better than a great picture. The first picture shows normally what would happen when you try to add something to protect a car ( security as an added option).

The second picture shows security as an integral part of the design of the car so that it will provide safe and secure ride. Obviously it is easy to see which is better.
