Answering The Call
I'm teaching a class at the Northwest Church exploring the idea of God's calling, using Os Guinness' book The Call: Finding and Fulfilling the Central Purpose of Your Life. Next week, we are going to hear stories from the class of their own experiences of being called by God, and how they responded to that call.
In the class, we are going to be exploring:
How we know God calls us.
How we discern the direction or task He is calling us to.
Whether or not we have been obedient to those calls.
Whether or not we believe such calls from God are still coming.
How the felt experience of God's call relates to the objective calling we have received in the New Testament.
It'll be great to hear the stories.
