The Jesus Creed Scot McKnight is a prolific writer and speaker that I had not heard of until this morning. (Read his extensive bio here.) After blogging about my difficulty with various pieces of theology, I read something a couple of days ago about "the problem with the atonement." That led me to do a search on "atonement" this morning, and that led me to McKnight's blog, The Jesus Creed. It's wonderful writing, very scholarly, yet accessible. He's obviously a friend to the emergent church, and just what I've read this morning on the nature of sin and the atonement (his entries on the topic coming in a review of a book by Mark Biddle) has stirred my thinking.
