Mike's Manic Minute 28 Nov 2004 November 27, 2004
Phonecasting?!?
Russell Beattie (http://www.russellbeattie.com/notebook/1008182.html)
says he's convinced there will be an Apple "iPhone" within the next 18 months
What I really want is something that is a kick-ass phone, a kick-ass email device AND when I dock it to charge it at night, I can auto-download my podcasts to my phone so I don't have to carry both the iPod and the iPaq when I go for my morning walk
If anyone is working on something that works with PocketPC and that will soon be released AND BE RELIABLE drop me a line me at manicminute at softwareland-dot-org.
Shopping at 6am
Well it appears everyone else did go shopping on Friday…
News.com reports that the holiday shopping season started with an 8 billion dollar day

New podcast by me
Starting December 1st, which will be my 51st birthday, I'll be starting another weekly show called "In Mike's Life" where I'm going to recall the years from 1953 until the present, one week-at-a-time (finishing on my 52nd birthday) including not only well-known events but my own auto-biographical memories with a particular focus on my 35 years as a programmer (which I still do professionally and hope to do for at least another 20 years!)
I'll be hosting the first episode of "In Mike's Life" on the SoftwareLand site but the RSS feeds for the podcast will officially be at "inmikeslife.org" starting December 1, 2004
