Acting the maggot in the big brother house!

Celeb Big Brother (UK Version 2006) seems to be doing well this year. My sources tell me that mobile video downloads are very strong. Why this is very popular on the phone, tells us a lot about the relationship between mobile 3g Video usage and TV shows. I'll leave you to ponder it :-)

And ...how about housemates podcasts next year? It'd be funny to see Maggot, Preston, Pete + Co 'castin from the house. Maybe Adam Curry and Podshow will sign some BB housemates to do a podcast covering it next year :-) 11:52:13 PM  comment []

Steve Jobs to sell Pixar to Disney? The Washington Post is reporting that Steve Jobs is in discussions with Disney about selling Pixar. This would give Steve a place on the Disney board and make him the largest individual share holder. Hmmmmm.

This has interesting ramifications. On the content level - a prerequisite for the deal would be that all disney (+pixar) movie content would be made available to a future Apple Movie store and a new Home Theatre Mac mini ( with .mac integration). This would give apple a huge league in the online Movie Store business.

On another level - Disney have been very active recently in the MVNO arena - see Disney Mobile and ESPN Mobile, with more to come. This gives disney a huge position and infrastructure ( Billing, Support, Retail, Distribution) in the MVNO space. So couple this with the recent "Mobile Me" speculation about Apple's mobile intentions and we see a potential play......here's my prediction : A rider on the Disney-Pixar deal will be that Apple use Disney's infrastructure for their own MVNO....... let's see what happens.....
