The Future of TV Panel @ Darklight Symposium

Also - if you plan to attend or catch up via POD/VODcast etc - post the stuff you'd like to see covered in the comments....( and if u are not booked in yet - do it now - it's nearly full !) The Current State of Video Consumption - Where is TV at now - Is the "YouTube Threat" as real as it is claimed? Mobile - WIll People really watch TV in large numbers on Mobile Phones/Devices or is this over hyped? - Sub Points: iPhone, Wifi, Wimax, mobile ads, technologies - Dvb-h, 3G, Side Loading, Revenue Models - for the Consumer, for the content maker - who will pay for content? - Sub Points - What will remain Pay per view, Will "new" advertising support everything, Will the "everything for free" napster generation lead to the demise of big budget TV such as The Sopranos? Are there any NEW rev models out there. Content - will a multipaltform world lead to very different types of content being made? Independent Content Producers : Is the multiplatform world better or worse for Indies? User Generated Content- How big will this become in the landscape of TV Community, Interactivity and Social Networking - Will TV HAVE to become more connected to it's audience Convergence - As the TV set, Cable Box, Home Theater PC, Broadband/IPTV and devices such as Apple TV converge - who will control the TV Menu? - Apple? The Telco? Sony or LG? The Cable Operator? Youtube? Joost? Babelgum? Microsoft?
