Doctor Who Fever Grips UK It's just 6 days until Doctor Who returns to the air after it's 16 year hiatus. I'm reliably informed that it is definitely worth waiting for! The BBC seems to have put a huge amount of effort into promoting it, and presumably a huge amount of money. Saturday night on BBC 2 was Doctor Who Night - with several documentaries and a special edition of the long-running Mastermind quiz game. Even the ITV (commercial television) joined in and included Billie Piper, who plays Rose the Doctor's new assistant, as a guest on Parkinson. Trailers for the new series are shown between almost all BBC programmes and Leeds (northern England) has several large billboards promoting the new series. I can't wait.
