Iowa, Grundy Center had the debut of the green violet-eared hummingbird in the state. A lot of people got to see the bird and it seems like it picked a very good spot to show up.

Arizona, The Arizona Republic is now putting out a birding column that will be in the newspaper on the first and third Friday's every month. This should be a nice way to learn about birding in Arizona and possible some other tips on nature related subjects in Arizona.
