Grand Forks, North Dakota offers some wonderful chances to see both the Snowy Owl and the Bald Eagle. November they say is a real good time for both of these birds to be in the area. I would think that the ability to find food in this area is what would bring them there. Maybe they are migrating to another spot. Always that chance.

Australia is getting twitchy. I guess twitching is setting out to see as many species of birds possible. It becomes a competition to see more and more birds. I wouldn't think there would be as much enjoyment in this as just being out in nature, but for some it must be exciting.

Maine has a very nice blog with a article that talks about birding in Maine. It must be a nice place to spend time outdoors among the birds. Many different sightings and observations.

Cleveland, Ohio has a very good article in the paper about how birding has came a long ways since 1978 and it is considered a mixed blessing. It has became a very popular hobby and continues to grow. This particular article says that there are between 50 & 70 million birders in the U.S.
