Concord, New Hampshire had a saw whet owl that stopped in and spent a day. They are common nesters in northern New Hampshire but not seen during the day very often.j

South Africa has a conservation group. Conservation Corporation Africa (CC Africa) provides birding tours that have over 407 bird species in the reserve. Most people go to see the animals without even realizing the number of birds available to the birdwatcher.
