Georgia, has an article about how backyard birding is one of the fastest growing hobbies in the world. There are about 48million people enjoying the hobby and more on the way. This article also has a nice picture of a blue bunting featured.

Hartselle, Alabama has a story about a birding festival in Decatur, Alabama on May 5th through May 7th. It looks like anybody around that area that is interested in birding can learn a few things and listen to some good speakers. It seems like a person could learn a little about a wildlife garden too.

Texas has a birding photographer who has written a book on the concept of birding by impression. I am not sure how it would work, but it seems like an interesting way to go about birding. This site can tell you a little bit about the book and he also has a web site to go tour where tours of birding are offered.
