The Viral Nature of SharePoint

Very good post by Bob Mixon about the viral nature of SharePoint. I like to think of it as "User-Enable Scope Expansion". Yikes, how do we manage this monster that we have created! Navigation, Search, and the creation of many SharePoint websites that are duplicates of information on other sites, security, lots to think about.

Bob has some good ideas about how to manage all this.

Customise SharePoint List Item Forms

This is a reference article that I am interested in, so I am posting it.

Over at MSDN there is a good guide to enhance and extend interaction with lists in Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services when customizing forms used to work with list items. (March 2005)

Games, Learning and Society Conference

I have discussed this many times over the years:

How to build a video game that combines learning and fun...
A powerful concept...
The Shifted Librarian goes to Madison to learn more about it. I am looking forward to what is reported.
Gaming and Learning in Madison.

Today and tomorrow I’m at the Games, Learning, and Society Conference in Madison, Wisconsin. I’ll post my session notes tonight, but suffice it to say I’m being blown away, and we’ve only gotten through the first session! LOTS to ponder. You’ll be able to watch some of the sessions later, because they’re recording them to be webcast. Highly recommended watching already.[The Shifted Librarian]

Get More Bat Speed

Interesting article about improving your heath. I played Senior Men's Baseball (9 full innings of real hardball) for a couple of years, so this caught my eye. Now you get a sense of my age... Heh...

Is Your Bat Speed a Bit Off? Try a Titanium Necklace. Baseball players are wearing necklaces that contain nylon coated in a titanium solution that can help improve circulation and reduce muscle stress. By LEE JENKINS. [NYT > Health]
