Hemingway was a “Fudgie”, and I’m Glad

Hackley Public Library is pleased to host Thomas Carney at 6:30 pm on April 28 as part of the Great Michigan Read program. Mr. Carney is a retired teacher and the author of numerous books on Michigan outdoor activities. His talk on Hemingway covers the importance of Michigan in Hemingway’s life, even though he was only a summer resident.

The presentation is free and open to the public, but please register in advance so we can provide enough seating. Register at the circulation desk or by phone: 231-722-7276.

The Michigan Humanities Council, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, presents The Great Michigan Read in partnership with Hackley Public Library. Any views, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed in this project do not necessarily represent those of the National Endowment for the Humanities or Michigan Humanities Council.
