New Enterprise Privacy Group events
Please forgive the shameless plugging of these events, but some of them are open to allcomers, so if you're interested then contact me. We've got a great agenda coming together for the rest of the year, which includes:
- 8 June: Identity Special Interest Group (Members Only)
- 14 September: Telematics Privacy Workshop (Invitation Only): A one-day event considering the privacy implications of telematics and road user charging.
- 26 October: RFID Privacy Workshop: A one-day event to identify key privacy issues arising from the use of RFID technologies, and collaborate on potential privacy solutions.
- 7 December: PETs 'Dragon's Den': An event in the style of BBC TV's 'Dragon's Den' for start-up companies that are building innovative privacy-enhancing technology solutions. We will assemble a panel of privacy experts, business managers and potential investors, and each company will have a brief period in which to explain its solution and persuade the panel to back it. At the end of the evening the panel - and audience - will be asked to choose their winning companies, and we hope to obtain sponsors to assist those companies with further development of their plans.
