Long Time No See

I haven't written in my blog for a long time. Eye surgery, computer crashes and, depression ganged up on me, so I haven't been blogging. I'm determined to start again and to keep it up. Last Thursday the doctor gave me the "all clear" to go back to work. My eye is officially healed now. My eyesight in my left eye is blurry, but I'm hoping that a new pair of glasses will solve that.

I've been getting up early every morning to pray for my family and ministry. Please don't think I am spiritual or bragging. Some mornings I am only semi-conscious, and if I didn't have the Lord's prayer to follow as a guideline, I wouldn't know what to ask God for or talk about. This morning I could barely get out of bed, but once I was up, I had a great time. At around 6 a.m. the kites (in the eagle family) fly low and encourage each other with loud "screes". The small green belt that runs along one side of our apartment building is home to a wide variety of birds. The kites are the coolest, but the bulbas are the friendliest.

(Psa 59:16-17)  But I will sing of your strength; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning. For you have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress. O my Strength, I will sing praises to you, for you, O God, are my fortress, the God who shows me steadfast love.
