Speaker: Jason Velasco - VP, Research and Education
Do I always need to make a forensic image? Can I just do a manual or active data copy? These are important questions that organizations must answer when collecting data. As organizations are becoming more aware of how insufficiently collected data can lead to serious consequences, the decision of which collection method to use is becoming an important concern. In this web seminar participants will get an overview of computer forensics and its role in the collection of electronic evidence, as well as guidelines for various collection methodologies.
Participants will learn from the experts at RenewData about key collection issues to include:
- Where forensic evidence is found
- How to determine the right collection methodology
- The pros and cons of a manual copy, active data copy, forensic image and supervised tape archiving
- Anti-forensic techniques for detecting evidence destruction
