2nd Annual Westchester Lagoon Ice Classic - And The Winner Is?!!
 The Ice officially went out today - probably at about 4:00 PM. There is still a small amount of schmutzy ice on the south shore. However, at 4:30 PM this afternoon, there was a sailboat on the Lagoon. It is the judge's opinion that a sailboat trumps small amounts of schmutzy ice.
But who won the Ice Classic? Good question. Last year, the rule was that the closest day Not Past the ice out day was the winner.
However, this year's earliest guess was April 28th. Two days past today, the 26th. If we played by last year's rules, we wouldn't have a winner in this year's ice classic. So, the judge has magnanimously suspended the rule that the winning guess not be past the ice out day.
As a result, we have two winners: Brad Yeary (a repeat winner!) and Phil Ackley. Both guessed April 28th.
