Geeks and Asperger's or Autism

Are most geeks on the Autism/Asperger's spectrum?  I hope my friends at Radio Userland are not offended, but I think the answer is "yes."  But please, don't take it as an insult.  You all have a unique ability to focus on a particular area of interest in an unusually intense way (a "savant" quality) and many of you are socially "odd" (quirky?).  This doesn't mean that you aren't charismatic...or even lovable...but in a "nerdy" kind of way.  It does mean that you are unable to tune in to certain social cues...you tend to go on and on about your own "special interests"...and many of you may have some other autistic traits (rocking, walking on your toes, and other "soft" neurological signs).  The key point here is that there may be minimal or no "interference" with daily living, and therefore, no need to diagnose.
