A Drawback of Living in Anchorage
We make close friends and they move away. Two very good friends have left in the last two weeks. My next door neighbor (for 19 years) moved to Kodiak, and my best walking buddy left this morning for Bellevue, WA. Approximately 33 percent or more of the Anchorage population turns over every 5 years.
I was visiting with a friend who is a leading salesman for a car dealership the other day; he was also lamenting this fact. Part of selling cars is to provide work for their service department, and the cars he sells keep transferring out of Anchorage.
