The Shortest Week in Seattle on Record
My week in Seattle (that was to begin with a Sunday Slingerland semi-annual Board meeting) lasted for 1 hour from the time I left the house until I returned.
I arrived at the airport---the flight had been cancelled due to planes being caught in the East Coast Snow---the soonest I could get out was Tuesday. This is the beginning of Spring Break and all airlines are sold out for several days. There were probably some seats saved back for "hardship cases" and frequent fliers, etc, but I wasn't actually any of those.
So I miss the board meeting, a couple theatre outings, and some great conversations with a close friend. On the other hand I have an unexpected gift of a week of time at home. So, how will I use it????
