Visiting Relatives
Lowell's cousin Greta was here from Delaware attending the Ducks Unlimited convention. We picked up Greta and her friend Sunday afternoon and took them on the Turnagain Arm/Portage/Alyeska scenic drive. It was way too cold and windy to get out of the car and stand in the rapidly moving fresh air to take in the scenery first hand. In fact, at Portage it was just plain winter with lots of glacier ice in the lake. Here is what it looked like. We ate a late lunch/early supper at the Prince Hotel at Alyeska. It was delightful to renew acquaintances.
