Untitled Document

OK, so down to earth from weblog virtual learning environments for a moment and back to the stark reality of people asking 'What's a weblog?' (a very good question too! Not too long ago I was asking it!)

So, it's not revolutionary, it is built on all of the wonderful stuff on 'selling weblogs' and alike that I've been reading and commenting on of late, and it's also a first draft (and a .pdf @ 70 KB so excuse graphics!). The aim of this document is to precede, follow-up or replace (if necessary) an intro to weblogging... but I have no idea how well it will or won't be received... any comments would be wonderful indeed.

Here it is again, in case you missed the first link :o)

Anne Davis points to an interesting article on Blogs & Wikis as environments for online collaboration in ESL.

Having come from an ESL background myself it's interesting to see this catching on. One of the things I did with the last stuff I designed was to get the entire program blogging through blogger as reflective 'learning journals' and then suddently clicking that they were infact community tools. Hence the Weblog as VLE epic :o)

It's a good article actually, lots of useful links explaining wikis, RSS, weblogs [the weblog links are a bit skewiff... not pointing at specific items] etc.
