Leicester Mercury - 21.09.04 - Leicestershire and Rutland race walkers won a full set of medals at the English Schools Championships in Exeter.
Luke Finch completed a fourth consecutive victory with a win in 22min 22.36sec in the senior boys 5k. His Leicester College team-mate, Phil Merry, was fourth in a personal-best 26.17.68.
Just 22 hours after his triumph in Exeter, Finch was beating four Commonwealth Games walkers on his way to winning the Nuneaton five-mile walk.
