Last October, I noted an annoying problem deleting viruses in email attachments using Norton AntiVirus (NAV) 2002. A few weeks ago, I noticed a large update to the program when updating NAV, but I wasn't sure what had changed.
Out of the blue I was looking at the options and noticed that several new options were added. Including two new "silent" options that doesn't require closing pop-up windows. Thanks Symantec! Peter Meholz includes a note and some links to Bonnie Nardi's work as a Anthropologist at Agilent Technologies: "One of the things that seems so obvious, but clearly isn't considering the way computers behave, is how she points out how things like passwords and firewalls are so obstructive."
