Though I liked the concept of Dave's 1st BloggerCon II essay, I wholeheartedly dissagree with the line: "[...]Cheney didn't say things are better in Iraq, only that Hussein is gone and his death squads are too. The void they've created is (remember we're in Reality Mode) certainly as bad as he was, probably much worse."
I've seen first hand what work is being doen in Iraq by the dutch troops, and although a different and much less hostile region than near Bagdad, I spoke to enough iraqi citizens in the province of Al Mutana to know that there is a great appreciation for the coalition ending Saddam's regime and for facilitating the rebuilding of their country. Assuming there is indeed a void that has been created, folks certainly are happier. Not necessarily worse off.

Nieuws dat je niet snel zal lezen in de kranten vandaag: PCM, uitgever van Volkskrant, Trouw, Algemeen dagblad, en het NRC hebben 5 bindende kopers aangetrokken die uiteindelijk middels een veiling de boel gaat overnemen. Buiten de belgische Persgroep zijn het alleen maar banken die de pers in haar portefeuille willen hebben:
De nieuwe luistercijfers zijn bekend. Veronica knalt omhoog met een stijging van 12%. Daar zijn we trots op. Morgen hopelijk een uitsplitsing van de resultaten zodat we kunnen zien hoe de ochtend show heeft bijgedragen aan de score.

Tim Coronel had nog eventjes 5 minuten over om met ons op de foto te gaan, gezien zijn race-bolide al om 9 uur warm stond te draien op zandvoort. Leuk om via deze gast wat meer inzicht te krijgen in de stand van de nederlandse racerij. We mogen wat mij betreft erg trots zijn op de familie Coronel!
