 an editthispage.com pioneer? me? well, maybe, now that i think about it. for almost nine months i spent countless hours and many sleepless nights digging in the corners of manila and editthispage, learning the blogging shtick. i came from a heavy-graphics background, and got kinda cranky about it at times [click and read all the links]. then there were all the great, unfinished ideas. nothing before or since ever spurred my creativity so prolifically. remember my hokey 'panning-screenshots' javascript? manila/frontier was my initial exposure to content management, and i jumped in with both feet. thanks for the nomination, dave. personally, i voted for susan. her stories took manila further as a writing medium, and she continues to use and help improve manila. hard to choose, though. everyone on the pioneer list i count as a friend. took me all night thinking about it to choose.

 Dave is almost ready to reveal the nominees for the first annual Weblog Awards. Like Wes I too found the award site and I'm nominated in the Blogger Of The Year category! Though I doubt I'll win I'm proud I met the category criteria: Each of the nominees has made a personal contribution to excellence in weblogging in 2001.

 Well, what do you know? This site is up for Best Scripting Weblog. It must be because there's no Most Frequent Use of the Word "Chicken" in a Weblog category.

 Dave for has nominated me for BOTY: Blogger of The Year. Many other worthies on the list, and off. Some, like RageBoy, are almost new (or, in RB's case, re-new). Too bad Weinberger isn't on there. After going on about he's not really good at this stuff, he took to the form like Mark McGuire to batting practice. Nearly every one of his posts flies out of the park.

Adam's psyched. He voted for himself, avoiding a shut-out (couldn't resist, big guy). I figured if Dave would be modest enough not to nominate himself (he'd get my vote), I'd bring the same restraint to voting for my own pixy ass. So I left that one blank, along with a couple categories I don't know shit about.

Nothing to stop ya'll from picking up the slack, of course. Heh.
