Dave Winer: I will be at Jing Jing at 7PM tomorrow for dinner. Several other people will be there. You are welcome too. Just show up, look for the loud weblog-type people. The Jing Jing people are usually pretty good about giving us more tables. More tables means more food and that means more money.

Adam Curry: I've re-read my original stand on rss and want to retract my statement about not buying default placements where (n)echo is supported. It was written in anger and not thought through properly. It was rather childish and I'm sorry I wrote it. I hope this mea culpa will clear the air for any further rss/(n)echo debate.

Dave Jacobs: See TechTV tonight it has picked up the story about my need for a kidney. They came out to my house on Monday to interview me, and then went the dialysis center with me and interviewed my doctor as well. The story is supposed to air today, Thrusday 7/10 at 5:00pm pacific time on TechTV in the tech live section. God only knows what the final edit will contain. I hope it raises awarness.

Tim Bray: Here's a Google search for a famous phrase, to be or not to be; give it a try and see what happens. When you look at word frequencies, it appears that there are a few words that appear unreasonably often and carry unreasonably little information. They are called "stopwords" and this (brief) eighth bead in the On Search necklace considers them....
