Wow. I've just tried SwitchXS for macosX. Its a software for people with disabilities that enables people to control the Mac with only one button or switch (gamepad or similar). There's an automatic scanning of groups of letters or functions on the screen and you can push the button or switch to choose letters. It works great and you can adjust the scanning speeds. They say that speech feedback is planned for a future release. This software uses the transparency feature of MacOSX to show the scanning pad only when the button is pushed. [Found via MacBidouille.]
