If You Give a DBA a Powerbook G4...
...He will smile. Installing Oracle 9i on Mac OS X, Part 1. The Oracle 9i Developer Release for Mac OS X opens up a new world of corporate database management for both Apple and Oracle. David Simpson begins this series with a look at the issues for DBAs who are considering making the move to Oracle on OS X. One of the Oracle DBAs near my cube "switched" recently, to a nice Powerbook G4. He is still squarely in the midst of the glow of having stuff just work, for the most part, and of finding all the fun toys that many Mac users take for granted. I always enjoy seeing someone make the switch, and hearing their glee in doing so... 8:38:21 AM [] blah blah blah'd on this [ blinked via Meerkat: An Open Wire Service: MacDevCenter.com ] |
