Comcast still can't deliver on e-mail. Customers of one of the nation's largest cable companies have been unable to send or receive e-mail for at least 24 hours. Folks are angry. [CNET News.com] Glad I don't have my cable modem right now..... comments< 8:10:01 AM

Looks like I'm going to do a 45 minute presentation at the O'Reilly Emerging Technology conference. That's cool, should be interesting, I'm going to talk about distributed content management. I was also invited to speak on a panel about web services, chaired by Adam Bosworth. That's cool, Adam is a smart guy. I also suggested they invite Simon Fell and Sam Ruby to participate in the panel. Also Andrew Layman at Microsoft. PS to O'Reilly -- how do I get on the radar for the people planning the Open Source Convention? [Scripting News] comments< 7:21:40 AM

Kabul mob kills Afghan minister. The Afghan civil aviation minister is beaten to death by a crowd of pilgrims stranded at Kabul airport for two days because of flight delays. Reports suggest that the some of the pilgrims were enraged when a rumour spread that Mr Rahman was about to divert their plane to take his family to India. That should make folks driving around like idiots with those blasted diplomat license plates think twice about their behaviour as well eh? [Adam Curry: CurryDotCom] comments< 7:20:56 AM
