Apple Apparently Wants ME to Switch...to Anything But OS X!

There are so many things still wrong with OS X that it barely qualifies as a commercial grade OS. A relatively small percentage of existing Mac users have switched to it, principally because it's a big shift and it doesn't work all that well for non-savvy users (you know, that "rest of us" that Apple used to give a shit about?).

Now they want us to shell out $129 for an "upgrade" that's really a dot-rev? And no guarantee they'll fix any of these repeatedly noted issues:

  • scrollbars often "stick" and must be clicked a second or third time to activate
  • screen updates are often frozen for inexplicable reasons (as in when closing windows in many ir not all apps)
  • Office:X has lots of weird bugs (why do Word documents always open behind already-open documents?)
  • Add your favorite bug here

On top of that, Apple, having suckered tens of thousands of people into using iTools for free, now comes along with a premium (for-charge) service (no harm in that; it is a good practice, I think) but kills off the free service in the process?

If I want to be shafted, I don't want to pay the price of using and supporting a minority OS in the bargain.

Apple! Pay attention! You are about to take careful aim and shoot yourself in the foot through the back of your stupid head. I will not be the only veteran Mac user who will throw up his hands in disgust and jump ship. Your "Switch" campaign won't turn out to mean what you intended.

Is there anyone left in senior management at Apple with an IQ higher than 25?
