I dunno if this is an actual, honest, person and his account, but it does bring one point that I think that Anti-War protesters would do well to remember: Sometime war is the lesser evil.
It's good to remember that.
I still oppose this war, but if we are going to do it, we do it by the numbers:
1: Help the Iraqi people however we can 2: Get rid Saddam Hussein and the B'aath Party ASAP. 3: Hand over control of Iraq to UN/INternational community so as to get an elected leader in there fast. 4: Get rid of George Bush come November ASAP.
I can't do anything about 1-3 above, but I'm sure gonna see what I can do about #4. Hell, I've already sent a mail to McCain's office, asking him to run against Bush. (Yes, I know, it's not gonna happen.)

Ian puts a gun to his head.
Y'know, when I first read about the whole war-gaming episode prelude to Iraq, I thought to myself; "Isn't fighting hard what the OPFOR (Opposing Force) is supposed to do?"
Now that we have someone actually doing it for real against us, we sound like the British bitching about colonists hiding behind trees. "Stand out in the open where we can shoot you, dash it all!"
If you present someone with a choice of facing a drastically superior force and dying, they are either going to surrender or, if they feel they're doomed even if they surrender (Republican Guard), they're going to do whacked shit.
What Did You Expect!?
(PS: If you're already firing up some missive bitching about me comparing Iraqi to American Revolutionaries, please shoot yourself now.)
