Apple Music Service

Well, I, of course, went and checked out the Apple Music Store, and I bought a couple of songs that I didn't have (Purchased). And I already have a couple of thoughts:

DRM: Ready or not, DRM, here we come. So, it looks like the authentication of the music file is predicated talking back to Mothership Apple. Translation: God help you if this service ever goes away (And you bought a lot of music).

Can't (Downsample) Change Me: So...you can't convert the AAC files to MP3. Ok, Ok, I know, this is Apple covering their asses, and you can burn to CD and THEN move to MP3(Which I haven't tried...yet), but, but why not just allow you to do it straight anyways?

Share with your friends(Unless you bought it): So, since you're streaming music with the sharing, your friends and housemates can listen to your music collection, right? Wrong. They still have to authenticate the music you've bought, so...if you buy a lot of AAC songs, this feature basically becomes useless.

Other than that, it's pretty slick and clearly some serious thought went into this kahuna. The stuff looks slick, and while I still couldn't find some songs I was looking for (One's that I've downloaded but hadn't bought yet) I found enough, to be satisfied that this is a good start.

I may write more on what I find as I keep banging, but we'll see. I'm still busy going through resumes. :)
