So, apparently Internet Explorer for the Mac is dead, according to this article over at PC Pro.
Part of me says "so?", since I haven't used IE in basically years.
On the other hand, it did have some cool features, and, as I've said many times before, I think competition is a good thing.
Of course, at least I'm not stuck using a Windows box, since IE is dead for Windows too, which is a far scarier thing...since it's going somewhere....
Oh! Oh! I almost forgot, here's the best comment from the article:
"'Some of the key customer requests for web browsing on the Mac require close development between the browser and the OS, something to which only Apple has access,' [Roz Ho, the general manager of Microsoft's Mac Business Unit] explained."
Hypocrisy, your name is Microsoft....
Isn't this what Microsoft (as a company) argued wasn't the case, that having such a close tie into the OS internals gave them an edge in making the browser?
