Today, weblogger W. "Ian" Blanton has announced that due to a discovery that he has been faking nearly all posts on his 'blog, he will be resigning as editor.
"I just feel that, as an editor, it's my responsibility that these posts were allowed to 'slip [onto the weblog]."
Through independent inquiries, it had been discovered that up to 60% of the posts on Mr. Blanton's weblog may have been fraudulent.
Taking the reins of the institution will be Ian Blanton, known for his previous work with children in Kenya and for the fact that he can hold 2 billiard balls in his mouth.

This Just In...
Stupid People Still Losing Money On Lottery!
Y'know, it's weird. 10 years ago, I said "you know a career opportunity is over when you start seeing commercials for courses in that career advertised on late night TV."
So now these people are burned because they didn't get "high paying jobs in the exciting field of (insert course name here)"?
Hmm, maybe they should have read the fine print that said "we don't promise you shit after you finish this course". Just like all school education. It's what you do with it that makes it useful.
I know, I know, expecting common sense out of humans....Yeesh

iTunes Music
I feel I should post my progress: I'm currently 3 for 5. Not bad.
And NO, I've not been cheating.
It's not that I think what the MacMerc guys posted about is wrong, I just wanna see how I do on my own. :)
(Editor's Note: Yeah, and Ian prefers fountain drinks, so he's been stopping at 7-11, and getting Pepsi there. :))

Zero Tolerence for Zero Tolerence
So these folks seem to be bent on eliminating the foolish "Zero Tolerance" policies many schools have been instituting for the last decade or so.
Y'know, it's funny...I came into the homeschooling thing with sort of a "sure, makes sense" kind of attitude, thinking that public school wasn't that bad, having lived through it. The more I think about Public School, the more it seems like a suppressed memory that says "yes it was".
I mean. I know I helped make my P.S. experience bad, and there were definitely teachers who improved it, but as an institution, which is what we're talking about here. It really was that bad.
Maybe more on this later, if I get a chance.

Blame the teachers, blame the school...
blame yourself.
Good article over at Motley Fool.
Mind you, we're homeschooling, so we have to blame ourselves if we try and blame the above.
