"You guys are so transparent...."

These were Josephine's words while the daughter was upstairs scribbling out a Mother's Day card to give her with the Geranium (more on that later) that I bought her while Lillian was "distracting" her at the flower place.

Lest I sounds like too much of a slacker, I must state that Josephine was there buying a flower hanger for her mother, so Lillian and I were in good company.

So I looked at her, a real honest kind of look, and said "7 Year olds are supposed to be transparent!" Especially to their parents. She then regaled me with Lillian trying to keep her delayed in the greenhouse while I was picking something out for her mother. "Oh, momma, let's take it slow and look at some more flowers!"

Mind you, Lillian loved doing it, with winks and everything to see if I had, in fact, bought something, and she loved the flowers I got, when I showed them to her, hidden in the car.

Anyways, so Lillian made a card for her mother and a necklace (Which I'm making Josephine wear for the next week, if it kills me), she brings them down and Josephine says in an aside to me "so I guess you didn't hear when I said I hated geraniums in the greenhouse?"

Again with the honest-type look. "Is that a Geranium?"

Happy Mothers day, you loon.
