Consulting
Consulting is a whacky business to be in. I never know what I will be doing from one day to the next. A week ago, I was working at Apple. Early this week, I was fixing bugs and adding enhancements to the De Anza's Faculty websites. Yesterday, I was creating contaminant plume maps for a site in the East Bay that I hadn't worked on in four years. Today, I am on my own dime, archiving and clearing space off my hard drives.
The only constants are the mess that surrounds my desk and the need for more consulting work. And Shasta, who really needs to be fed NOW!

Flowers
Michele's Grandmother had beautiful plants around her house in Gustine, CA. Last year, before the house was sold, we pulled bulbs from around the house. The irises and amaryllis seem to handled the the transition from Gustine to San Jose quite nicely.
