Working with the new system

It's going to take a little while to get things running smoothly again. First I need to move all of my files and apps from my old box to the new machine. Then I need to set up the old box as my new dev server. The biggest problem that I have run into so far is setting up the firewall to work with Frontier on the dev server. FireWalk 2 doesn't seem to allow post to port 80 to get forwarded to 8080 (where Frontier is listening). My existing monitors don't want to work with the dev server (though I can access them via Timbuktu).

The only real problem that I have run into with the new box is that it doesn't recognize my iPod when I plug it in. iTunes can see it, but the Finder can't. Also I continue to have trouble with the SCSI card. I haven't been able to use the slide scanner with the new machine yet, which is too bad because I just got back the first set of pictures from the Virgin Islands trip. I guess I will just have to play around to see what works and what doesn't
