Images from the Virgin Islands

One of the highlights of our trip last month was the night we went out to the west end of St. Croix and watched leatherback turtles come in to lay their nests.

It's amazing watching 300 lb turtles lumber up and down the beach.

We also saw the mini version in this hatchling.

WLink: A connection between home weather stations and the Web

I have been meaning to hook my Davis Instruments weather station to one of our older Macs for uploading the current weather information to the Web site, but I just haven't had the time to play with it yet. Of course, I am not sure I should admit that in addition to my interest in nature, birds, butterflies and the lot, I also keep a weather journal with daily weather records for the last seven years... Some levels of geekiness can be just...scary. [Mac Net Journal]

The more I learn about Rob, the more I like him. Macs, birds, nature and weather too? Cool!
