The San Jose Giants' Home Opener was last Thursday night. I had been waiting for the season to start for so long, I found that I didn't really want to write about it just yet. First I needed some time just to soak it in.
Well, after sweeping the Modesto Nuts in four games, I am now ready to write a little. The Giants are looking pretty good. They were clearly happy to get home and played like it. They took Thursdays' game 3-1, then went 13 innings to win 3-2 on Friday, Yesterday was a pitchers' duel with that ended in a 2-1 win, and this afternoon the Giants completed the sweep with an 8 run, 12 hit blash.
After starting the season 2-7, the Giants have one 7 straight.
Tomorrow, they start a three game series with A's affiliate Stockton Ports. I will try to write a little more about that series in the next few days.
