Python in Frontier

It seems like every time I do something with Python and Frontier/Radio, my hand gets tipped before I'm ready.

I suppose that if left up to me, I might not announce soon enough. As Dave mentions here, I've checked in my first cut at integrating Python in Frontier. It includes the ability to execute Python code from UserTalk (not as nicely as I'd like, but it's a start), access to the ODB from Python (not all types are completely mapped, Outlines being a notable absence), and, with a hacked version of the Python IDE tool, the ability to program Python in an outline.

Eventually the tool will go away, once I have Python completely integrated into the Frontier scripting system.

So there you go. That's what I've been working on for the past few weeks, that's why I've been playing with C, that's why I've been so interested in the Frontier source code.

Shouldn't be much of a surprise. It's not like I've kept it a secret that this is what I wanted to do.

It IS nice to be held up as an example of why release Frontier as Open Source is a good thing.
