Where do I send the check to support your efforts? High School sports has created, especially in the suburbs, a generation or two of juiced-up elitists who then fail in the real world, resorting to domestic violence to calm their ongoing fear of failure. This fear is shoved down their throats by their beloved coaches. When 49ers coach Mariucci was fired, one of the reasons discussed on talk radio was that he failed to instill that fear in his players. Fear or desire? I'll take desire.

Here is a question.  What would you do with extreme wealth?  I almost had that (did OK, but came within a hair of extreme wealth).  Not to say it won't happen in the future.

So, what would you do?

One thing I would do:  fund a legal team to sue high school sports teams for injuries to athletes.   Intention: to shut high school teams down.  People:  to recuit the "geek squad" that was excluded from sports in high school.  My take:  "sports in high school should be participatory, it isn't.  It is an elite that plays at the expense of all others.  That should end."

Cost:  $2 m a year.  Pain inflicted on elitist sports:  $400 m a year.  Satisfaction: priceless.

NOTE:  I lettered in Soccer, Basketball, and Ski Team.
