I always thought a picture would be nice with the calendar. HMM still not working. More tweeking. Ahha. A real picture. (Cotton field at AKA Farm) Now to save a copy and move on to the topic categories. Enough for today anyway. Progress was made.
Well just one more change tonight. How about adding a blogroll - just a list of other weblogs that might be of interest to readers of this weblog. OK lets give it a try.

OK they should be fixed now. The trick is to use the correct relative links. This would not be easy to understand if you had not built webpages before. I think an option in the category page to build navigator links might be useful.

OK now I have a basic weblog set up it is time to make it look and work the way I want it to. It is time to backup what I have done so far -- Just in Case-- and start customizing. The goals I have are an outline style weblog with navigation by categories and a place to put pictures from AKA frarms.

In my quest for a better format for the Farmer's Weblog I got to the point where I had to start over. Since I havn't announced the site yet I hope readers (if there are any yet) will bear with me while I experiment further. Expect to see the look and feel of the site change over the next month or so. I am implementing new tools for radio weblogs as they are being developed so there will be a few rough spots until I get all the parts put together. If you are putting together your own weblog I will try to document the steps I take as I go along. Maybe, I can be of some help to other cutting edge weblogers.. I will post these in the Radio tips category. OK here we go again.

I am getting some extra folders defined in my category folder corresponding to old category names, strange. For example I have a category radio tips now I get a folder radio Tips as well. This was one of the old category names I deleted. I would expect that when you delete something that it stay deleted.

the category feature is not working correctly. First I edited the names of the default categories but the folder names were not changed and the category post were not posted in the right folders. Also the view directory option for the categories folder was not active so I could not check and see what was really posted. I deleted all of the default categories and added new ones. The folder names are now correct but I still don't think they are being uploaded correctly.

On my first post the folder 2002 was not found. I had to create it by hand. This seems strange as I am starting with a spnaking new copy of radio.
