Scott, thinking about the new mind bomb, was reeling.
It was as though his mental tape recorder was stuck in an endless loop. Over and over in his head, the same three thoughts were constantly repeating, in a monotonous, resonating, increasingly powerful drone:
"Instant Messaging, Buddies, Instant Outline..."
Finally, his head went "POP" and they called in the paramedics.
The smelling-salts worked, and as Scott sat up he thought to himself "Now I get it. It's pretty simple, really. Basically the Instant Outline is edited in Radio and when saved, a copy of the Instant Outline is stored as a text file on a public server. People who subscribe to my public Instant Outline are notifiied by their copy of Radio if I have made changes to my outline. People who subscribe to my outline can control how often their copy of Radio checks for updates. If I want to send a message to all the people who have subscribed to my outline, I just update my outline in my Radio outliner, and save the changes."
The paramedics asked Scott how he was feeling.
"Pretty good. But I was really hoping to use the Instant Outline to make updates to my Radio blog. I was hoping to be able to read my news feeds as a Radio outline, and make posts to my Radio Blog without using a web browser."
"Huh?" said the paramedics.
