This is a test of the new theme... it's not quite done yet... but it's getting closer :-)

The idea was to simplify the theme so that the postings are the focus. The upper left collection of Stories, Links, Lighthouses, Pictures and Calendar are there to collect the noisy details into a simple collection in one place. Click any of those words and a box will show up which will contain links appropriate to what you click. This makes it easy to get to all of the stories (or at least a short list of stories with a link to a bigger list). I also believe that the lighthouses and picture boxes should pop up a simple gallery of thumbnails of images - click on the thumbnail and off you go to details about that particular picture (kinda of like stories, but graphical).

I'll probably also change the banner graphic again... this one is just a test... it seems to work pretty well.

Technical detail: This theme is based on cascading style sheets (rev 1) with a minimal collection of table elements. I plan on eliminating most of the tables (with one exception being the calendar). Once I get through pulling out most of the tables and adding some more javascript, then I'll share this as a theme.
