Gaming is in the Air...

this is the season for .....gaming!

This reference is from the NLII Annual meeting: Brian Winn, Carrie Heeter and Philip Dickson led a wonderful, interactive session entitled "What can higher education learn from gaming?"  I thoroughly enjoyed the session, finding it very interactive, compelling and, well... fun.  The website is a wealth of resources including a link to the powerpoint slides from the session.  I really enjoyed the final interactive exercise where my two partners and I imagined and then laid out the design for the next hit educational game 'Journey to the Centre of the Cell'.  Any takers?

My own interest is to fit gaming into New Learning Ecosystems and to try to map out what classrooms could look like in the near future.
